Chrome Update hammering connection

Is the Google Chrome update killing anyone elses internet connection this morning? Every time someone logs in and chrome starts updating its maxing our router out. Edited January 25, 2018 by tj2419

has anyone had any luck setting the DownloadPreference policy to cacheable? By googles own admission on the support page, mileage may vary.

If you're referring to chrome on windows, I have the GPO set not to update. Then I push out the msi.

 

If you're referring to ChromeOS then yes its a bandwidth killer. I have a Cachebox from Apliansys, the users don't notice a thing now, the connection is still perfectly usable.
