Good afternoon,

I have got a second basic internet line going in on the 1st of Feb just for redundancy in case our mainline goes down for any reason. I am also going to use it for testing. I currently have 2 isolated test networks which I want to connect up to the internet using this second line.

I'm looking at using PFSense as the router and then configuring that to stop the 2 test networks from communicating with each other.

Has anyone else ever done this or got any pointers?

Cheers,

Are you set on pfSense? For production you'd probably be better off with an ERL.

I am just going with PFSense because I already have a spare machine that I can run it off and at the minute I don't have any budget to buy anything else. PFSense itself seems to offer everything I need, I just need to configure it all.

We use PFSense across the board here, at almost every site we manage. Let me know if you require any assistance.

Hi

Does anyone know pfsense do ready to go pre install box?

Thanks

No, It doesnt. Because you have to install it and upon installation you have to configure your Interfaces etc. There's no universal/generic install.
