Please vote for GPO to enforce Files on Demand in student labs

We don't want students downloading content to lab PCs but it would be great if they could access their OneDrive for Business files using Windows Explorer and Files on Demand.Please vote for this feature here.https://onedrive.uservoice.com/forums/262982-onedrive/suggestions/19591876-roll-out-enterprise-management-gpo-etc-with-oned

"Enterprise Admins can choose how they want users to interact with sync. Admins can force all users of Windows Fall Creators update to use the new Files On-Demand feature or they can also disable it and users will get the existing sync behavior that is uniform with Windows, 7, 8, earlier version of Windows 10 and Mac. Enabling this policy means every single new user in your tenant to turn on OneDrive will default to online-only files. Existing users who have content already synced local will now have the capability to make their files online-only."

The ADML and ADMX files are now available in the OneDrive installation directory, %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\BuildNumber\adm\.

I think they mean the ability to force file on demand only on some machines - right now you can change the default behavior but not stop users doing one or the other.

 

OTOH we solved this by setting a GPO to clear unused profiles every 30 days.
