JOB TITLE: IT technician

 

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

 

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

 

To help maintain an effective IT infrastructure that covers:

• Networks

• Audio Visual

• Telecommunications

• CCTV

• Applications

• First and second tier user support & service delivery

• ICT / IT teaching support

 

for the LTC Organisation:

• Maintain LTC charity support and operations

• LVS Ascot

• LVS Hassocks

• LVS Oxford

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• All tasks to ensure systems run to optimum standards (e.g. station builds, software allocation, network and or e-mail problems, performance monitoring)

• User maintenance

• Hardware upgrades

• Hardware maintenance

• Liaising with third party service providers

• Assisting with pre-booked classroom / lettings support

• Responding to any problems of a technical nature reported on network, system or standalone equipment

• Training of staff on new software and hardware

• To maintain a working knowledge of all main software and systems

• To be contactable during working hours, to perform a first and second tier helpdesk role
