Right my coding friends, I have a question.

I wish to write a small app which allows me to hover over numbers on the screen and have a bubble appear which contains a 'call this number' button. All the back-end stuff is done via a cgi script on our asterisk server already, and I have the functionality I want in OS X.

How would I go about doing this? Any ideas? The language doesn't matter as I am happy to learn new ones as and when needed, and already know a few.

Need more info..is this within a webbrowser? perhaps a screenshot of the floating bubbles? lol

If it is a webbrowser paste me the html and il knock something up.

Nah, not web browser. I'm talking about via any windows app, but in particular SIMS.net. It is for use with applications which I can't just make an extension for.

Hrm, thats interesting. after re-reading your first post i kinda understand what you mean now, something similar to how skype interacts with numbers in your webbrowser.

I think you'll definatly need to hook some Windows API stuff, il look into it a little further when i get a spare minute.

National Do Not Call List Phone Number Check 1.3 - Safe Caller is the leading phone number checking & dialing Do Not Call List Software for telemarketers.

is cabable of what you want, but also not what you need, id imagine it will be pretty easy once you figure out what API you have to hook into.

Download Text Capture SDK Free Trial - Text Capture SDK is a pure Delphi package of a Text Hooking DLL and a Word Capture Sample Program, Text Hooking DLL captures...

maybe have a play with some tools like that first? let me know how you get on :)
