Truancy Call - Can you send home other text messages e.g detentions

Hi

 

I've been asked to look at Truancy call. Does anyone know if you can set it up to send home other types of text messages. We want to send home same day texts about kids having 45min detentions after school and wondered if this can do it?

Have you looked at other systems too like groupcall messenger, schoolcomms, parent mail.

 

We use GroupCall and very happy with what it can do for us.

As far as i know the Truancy Call is for notifying about absent students, the Call Parents software you can choose to send messages to whoever you want and say whatever. Think it would have to be a manual process in selecting the students though from memory. We have both but only use the Truancy Call part.

 

I think that both of these pieces of software are one package? I may be wrong! They are always helpful on the phone whenever i have had to phone them about issues.

I don't think they're one package; we liked Call Parents but not Truancy Call so now only have the former.
