I've noticed we can only see the Update Manager tab in the vSphere client (running the appliance 6.5 as a VM) when we access it using the Flash option, not the HTML5 verion regardless of the browser.

I've had a look around and I can't see anyway this can be enabled - we're using the VCSA Version 6.5 so the Update manager is built into it. Has anyone worked around this, as I'd rather use the html5 option!

Hi,

I believe it's not yet ported over to the HTML5 vSphere Client - you can see the functionality updates here - https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/rn/vsphere-client-65-html5-functionality-support.html

I agree:

What about VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and VMware Update Manager (VUM) plug-ins?

The SRM plug-in has been web-only since version 5.8. With vSphere 6.0 Update 1, VUM also is fully available in the vSphere Web Client. Both plug-ins will be available in the HTML5 vSphere Client in the future.
