The Opportunity

Joining an energetic and proactive Multi-Service Provider based in Greater London, providing technical support and installations to the Educational, Healthcare and Corporate sectors. This is primarily a field engineer role, with great developmental opportunities, working with schools in Essex and in North East London boroughs.

 

Job Overview

Providing 1st line Windows on-site and remote technical support to customers, assisting them with hardware and software issues via phone, email, remote tools or in person.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical support; answering support queries either onsite or via phone or helpdesk
  • Provide a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Take ownership of problems and be proactive when dealing with tickets
  • Log all tickets in the helpdesk and maintain full documentation
  • Respond to customer requests and assist them with hardware or software problems
  • Log and address any software or hardware problems detected while on site
  • Allocate more complex tickets to the relevant senior technicians
  • Liaise with 3rd party supplier/solution providers to address customer tickets

 

Skills / Attributes Required:

 

  • Full UK driving licence and mode of transport
  • At least one year experience in a first line support role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Exposure to Microsoft Server and user management consoles
  • Excellent telephone manner, face to face communication and written skills
  • Good time management and ability to multitask
  • Beneficial - MCP certification
  • DBS clearance will be required for this role.
