Moise Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Hi,I have a dual monitor PC with one with a DVI connector and the other with a VGA connector. both have been tightly connected but only one screen (DVI) is working. And when I unplug the DVI cable, the VGA display Works and disappears when I put the DVI it back in. Both cables are newly replaced. pulled the power cables on both screens, pressed and hold the power buttons on both screens for few seconds still nothing. When started the widows sign comes on the VGA monitor and then i get the no signal found.i hope you can help me with this issue. Thanks,
Michael Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 It sounds like the graphics driver is displaying at a resolution not supported by the screen. The Windows logo is displayed at a very low resolution, typically 800 x 600. I'd suggest starting Windows with the one screen, then tweaking the resolution settings when you're in Windows itself. It is perfectly OK to connect/disconnect a screen when the computer's switched on.
Moise Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks a lot Michael, I will have a look at it as soon as i get a chance and let you know the outcome. kind regards, Moise
