Server Pings Client but client is unable to ping server

HI I'm in a big trouble I have a new windows server 2016 in which we have several nodes in workgroup. All nodes are connecting to server except one node with windows XP which was working fine till yesterday. If I try pinging the xp client from server I get a reply but if I ping the server form client my request timed out. Tried resorting client, changed the ip address and name but no use. Firewall in the server is truned off. Please help
