steven_layton_sl Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Hi We're using Teams, and I'm trying to update our data, via the 6 .csv files, but keep getting the below error. I'm fairly sure my files contain the correct data. Any ideas of where to start?
steven_layton_sl Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Hmmm Okay, so when I try to open the "section.csv" file in Excel, it give the error messages, but if I click through them, they do open. (Please ignore the underscore on the file name, this was just for my own visual information and isn't present when I'm trying to upload the files.)
ModeratelyGruntled Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 I get the same thing when I try to open our CSVs. We user Ruler Connect to generate the them. They pass all the validation checks though and don't show any errors in the portal. Might be worth using a free third party tool to generate them as a sanity check?
steven_layton_sl Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) Hi @ModeratelyGruntled, we also use Ruler to generate these files. Do you have any suggestions on a tool to sanity check them? Thanks Edited December 8, 2017 by steven_layton_sl
ModeratelyGruntled Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Sorry I meant that Ruler is a the tool we use! Always found their support to be helpful - may be worth giving them a shout. On the other hand I've found MS support to be very patchy in this area. As I say, I get the same errors when trying to open the ruler connect-generated csvs as you do but don't get any errors uploading them.
