JTTCM Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Hi All, Since installing Windows 10 (I think 1703) there are random mouse failures, well, I say failures it is more like the mouse stops. The light underneath goes out. To me that indicates some kind of USB failure. We have LOTS of these PC's in school and only 2 or 3 machines where this is an issue. I have to use the keyboard to navigate to shut the machine down and restart it. The PC then behaves for a few days. Does anyone have any ideas? is this a common windows 10 issue? KR John
Bob_the_Goon Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Haven't seen or heard of this. Sounds like a chipset driver issue. Have you got the latest drivers?
southhamster Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Interesting. I've seen something similar in the last year or so but we use Windows 7. Completely random. Usually swapping USB ports fixes it but not always. Sometimes a different mouse/kb helps. Occurs on different makes of PC. My gut feeling is this didn't used to happen. USB either worked or not. Could it be a Windows update causing trouble?
sparkeh Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Yes we have just started seeing this in windows 10. Haven’t figured anything out yet though
