High Sierra upgrade - Cannot add printer?

Upgraded the Heads Macbook Pro to High Sierra as I was dealing with the blank Root password bug, I thought I might as well.

Strange thing was it seemed to reset the Domain Admin Account as trying to change anything gave 'the wobble'. I also now don't seem to be able to anything with the Root account as it is blocked out and trying to change anything using the Root account and the password I set also gives 'the wobble', so not entirely sure what went on there.... The mapped drives appear to be dropping out at random too...

Anyway, I managed to get into the local account used to set-up the Macbook and gave the Domain Admin the right to administer the computer...

Now recently, when the Head goes to print some documents (nothing specific) the printer (Kyocera TasAlfa 5052ci) errors out.

I thought I would clear the printing system and download the most recent drivers from the Kyocera site and reinstall, but I don't seem to be able to add any printers!

Using the 'Default' tab ,it goes through the motions and the dialogue box disappears but nothing is added.

Using the 'IP' tab the dialogue box hangs on the Setting up 'printer' box, it does give the option to skip which adds the printer, but then when printing just sits there and nothing is sent to the printer...

The printer is on a different VLAN to the printer, but I'm sure this wasn't an issue before as he's been printing fine up until now.

HELP!

Edit: OSX noob, please be gentle...

I just tried to log back in as the Head and it says 'Network Accounts are Unavailable'...

It logged in anyway, but now I cannot connect to any shares at all!
