Desktop refreshing constantly

When a specific teacher logs on to ANY laptop his desktop and toolbar keeps refreshing every 5 seconds. What is strange is that when he logs onto a desktop it does not happen. I thought there must be something in his profile but I have completely deleted it and when he logs on, a new one is created but the same problem exists.

Have you tried creating a new user via copying his account & seeing if that test account still has the issue? If it works for one person and not the other youd suspect it'd be the profile settings being the issue.

Just backup his files and delete the whole account and give him a new username and move his files into his new home directory.

When you deleted his profile one the server did you delete the client local profile the file on c:/users/username and reg keys
