Getting the DfE to recognise our domain

We have a spiffing domain: .academy. But we have occasional problems because various organisations and websites don't recognise this as a legitimate domain when registering for services.

 

A particular culprit is the DfE. Does anyone out there have a contact at the department who might be persuaded to fix this for (all of) us?

It's not ideal, but in the short term, registering your .sch.uk and creating a forwarder to your .academy is a workaround. I've had to do this a handful of times, as I also use .academy.

We're using G Suite, so can add a domain alias pretty easily, but it causes staff some confusion.

I agree, but only a handful of organisations do not recognise the fact there are literally thousands of domain extensions these days.

I'm not surprised that the DfE is one that doesn't.
