Geoff Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 (edited) I created a new task sequence to try out OSD Background. As this relys on running some powershell scripts I've added them to the task sequence. However they don't work. I have added powershell to my WinPE: This is the first powershell step I get an error: The error I get in SMSTS.LOG is: Failed to resolve the source for SMS PKGID=FS10007B, hr=0x800700a1 RunPowerShellScript 30/11/2017 15:54:28 1352 (0x0548) However the package(s) are distributed correctly. Geoff Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 I think I've found out why based on this thread on technet. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/927f9029-3d5b-4e26-9935-51a409f2183c/run-powershellscript-before-format-and-partition-disk?forum=configmanagerosd Basically because the disk is not formatted there's no where to store the package cache. Thus the script isn't avalible in WinPE. I'm going to try changing it to run directly from a network share. The other option would be to add the script to the WinPE boot image.
