USB Prompt Script on Log Off

Hi all,

 

Want some help with running an app / osascript which shows a dialog message that a USB device is still in the iMac.

 

Alternatively how we can change the log out display text? like this image so that we can put a reminder on this:

 

At the moment, we are trying to run the script which works in testing, but when the user is actually clicking log off it seems to be actually logging them off and not letting the script run to show the message.
