We would like to play music throughout the school corridors, what sort of licences do we need I believe we have a blanket PRS & PPL licence but would this be enough and does it cover Spotify Business?

OK. Answred my own question. It is only if you want to use Music outside of assemblies and for non-curriculum reasons that the DfE centrally bought licence (England) does not cover you.

Permission to play or perform music is granted under the PRS and PPL Licences

Should you wish to use music (CDs, records, MP3 files etc) in schools outside of the curriculum (for example discos/end of term parties, school fetes, telephone music on hold, dance/aerobics classes, background music in offices or dining areas) you are very likely require a licence from PPL and PRS for Music. Both licences are available from CEFM.
