Theldron Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Hi all, I am having a problem with 2 teachers not able to access SIMS via the remoteapp. This is not the first time it has happened and I had to restart the server to fix the issue. Today the issue has again reared its head and its the same teachers. I assume they are not shutting it down or closing the app properly, but I can't work out how to fix the issue without restarting the server. On the pic the staff with SIMS working have services under session and several applications under image. The two blank blocks under session are the staff who can't get back on SIMS and under image they only have regsvr32. Under Remote Services Manager i have tried ending the processes but they will not clear properly. Any advice?
Theldron Posted December 4, 2017 Author Posted December 4, 2017 Happened again this morning, same staff member. Don't understand what is happening or why. Still can't clear the process, the only thing that I have found fixes it is to restart the server. Help!!
Theldron Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 (edited) Happened again this morning. The remoteapp seems to be getting stuck on Themes Setup during the connection process. Driving me nuts. Its just affecting two users everyone else is ok. Edited December 5, 2017 by Theldron
Scrambles Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Do you have a timeout / inactivity timer set for remote sessions on your RD Hosts ?
ZFarnworth_geek Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Hi. I know this is probably not an option you would want to take but would you not upgrade to server 2012 r2 for stability as server 2008 r2. Is an EOL ops Hope that helps in any way.
