Monitor to replace Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM

Looking to upgrade my Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM for a monitor of similar specification, probably around 27" this time however.

 

A lot has changed in 5 years obviously display wise, so any recommendations? I would like to do PC gaming on it but also be able to connect up my PS4 / XBox One too - although I'm not sure how I would then get sound as I know on board speakers would be a bit rubbish presumably!
