MacBook Keyboards stop working in one app

Hi,

We have an intermittent issue with MacBook Air (Sierra) keyboards that stop working.

 

In one app (usually Chrome or Safari), they keyboard will stop responding, but the application works fine.

If you switch to another application, the keyboard is functioning however in the first application it will only work after the app has been restarted.

 

Anyone had this issue?

I had experienced the same as you. Just shutdown and restart it. You will never know what happened to your mac for such occasions.

Just restarting the app fixes it. However, it happens on at least one computer at random per lesson. If the students are filling in an online form that doesn't save as they go, then they lose all their work.
