Hi all,

I have a query about the science scope software used for measuring timing (physics related measurement of velocities, acceleration etc using attached USB-Serial hardware with sensors).

Basically, the java-based 'Logbook Timing' software no longer works alongside the latest versions of Java (hangs after more than 2 tests are done), so they kindly gave me an installer to an older bit of software called datadisc timing. Sadly, this seems to be much worse in the fact it doesn't run under restricted student accounts, and I'm not getting much response from a further email enquiring about their mention of an updated version of the aforementioned being created.

So, my questions are:

Does anyone else use either bit of software under a windows 10 environment and if so, how did you get it working?

Are there any alternatives that will work with the science scope hardware?

Thanks all!
