Ok, here's a question for all everyone who has SIMS.net which is supported by their LEA (If you're in reading thats even better :) ). What is the average price per pc, for SIMS.net.

Birmingham support schools using SIMS and CMIS. As for the cost per PC I have absolutely no idea. I am guessing Birmingham have an agreement with Capita as they're the biggest authority in Europe!

I don't know if it is licensed per machine or per school. At all sites I support, all office/administrative staff (2 or 3), the Head, Deputy and myself all have Sims installed - so 6 in total. This is for Primary. I'm sure Secondary have it installed on more machines.

We've got about 1200 students and I've budgeted for about £7k (last years price was approx £6.5k), however it does depend on what sims modules you actually have - our yearly maintenance will be under £9k if we take up lesson monitor. We're supported directly by Capitaes Bedford :)

Hope this helps.

I know that if we opt to use the local authority SLA then, its £100 per workstation with them supplying and supporting the workstation.

We're1400 students and the annual agreement is £3500 ish. We can use that on as many PC's a we want and we use Lesson Monitor. Supported by central helpdesk.

I would expect the real cost, the TCO would be around £20k per annum if you include the hidden costs of training, hardware, maintenance, forced upgrades etc.
