dapaulio Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 This should not be as difficult as I am finding it and apologise in advance if I am just being a numpty. I need a VAT receipt or any receipt that proves purchases of azure credits so I can claim the expense when I used my own credit card, however this does not seem very straight forward. I have searched the whole site using the help and googled it and I am not getting the answers I want. the best I have managed to achieve is screen print of the credit history which gives me very little detail. Surely I'm not asking to much of MS system. Can anyone point me in the direction to my little problem
localzuk Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 You may need to log a support ticket under billing to do this. We bought ours through a third party reseller, which just invoiced us as normal.
jamesrhart Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 We got ours via the reseller as well, but I'm pretty sure they have VAT receipts in the Classic Portal: https://account.azure.com/Subscriptions click the subsciption, then billing history and you should be able to download it. If memory serves they also post out a VAT invoice about a week later.
dapaulio Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 The classic portal has now been removed for recovery services and you are forced in to modern portal. I can see that it must be by design of the subscription I have an azure in open (current) and payg (old) Click on payg and an option appears for invoices but none are available due to the age of the invoice retention Flick over to current azure in open subscription and the invoices option is replaced with credit history. This is just the screen I referred to before as my only proof of purchase. Problem is it is not that detailed and unsure whether it is sufficient evidence. Still waiting approval.
jamesrhart Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 It's free to open a billing support ticket so I would just email them for it, they normally get back to you within 24 hours.

Have done already. Was just seeing if anyone in the community could answer my question quicker. £480 sat on my credit card is a bit of pain when I got Xmas shopping to do. [emoji318] I’m glad that this isn’t as easy as you would expect it to be. When I opened the ticket I was expecting ms to reply telling me if I didn’t know that then I shouldn’t be working in ICT [emoji23] Edited November 13, 2017 by dapaulio
jamesrhart Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Ahhh the joys of having a work credit card... hopefully they reply soon.

Daft thing I do have a work credit card that’s why it’s never been an issue before but on this occasion authorisation failed and our backup began failing on the first day of the school holidays when ... you guessed it all finance team were OFF. Alright for some
dapaulio Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 Just an update to put a close to this thread. Opened a ticket to Microsoft who claimed you can’t for what ever reason however they can email me a copy. over a week on still not vat receipt. Thankfully I have managed to be reimbursed based on my screen print.
