Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I got finished with updating all of the switches in the school with their latest available firmware. I have a mix of HP 2610, 2620, 2530 and 2540 units. Updating the firmware is easy, if tedious since each switch needs the firmware updated twice - once for primary and once for secondary firmware images.

My question is this: is it worth looking into something like HP Intelligent Management Central or Aruba Central for the future? In terms of management I want something that will let me batch update firmware easily, but also configure things like VLANS and other settings from one central place, instead of logging onto each switch's IP and doing it that way. Have 12 switches in operation now, but that number is probably going to grow in the not too distant future.

Thanks!
