asm Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Hello all, Discovered an interesting issue recently. I have been rolling out Windows 10 to desktop and laptops across the site and for the most part, it has been smooth sailing, however, it was brought to my attention that the Send to Mail Recipient function appears to have been broken, the button quite literally does nothing! I've managed to work around this by creating a new shortcut in the shell:sendto folder that opens Outlook 2016 and attaches the items into a blank email, I've then had to add a macro to Outlook that adds the file attachment names to the body of the email (like how the Send To Mail Recipient function worked) Now thankfully this workaround does seem to circumvent the need for the Send To Mail Recipient function, however, if more users require the fix it will gradually become more and more of an issue, so here I am asking if anyone has also had the issue and whether or not an actual fix has been figured out. Info: Windows 10 64-bit ver. 1709 Office 2016 (Is set to default) Office 365 + Exchange Thanks for any and all comments!
KibosJ Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Got this issue too, explorer crashes when I try it
asm Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) Give my above workaround a go and see if the issue still persists, seemed to resolve all my issues for the most part (except obviously the inconvenience of it) Edited November 1, 2017 by asm

gaz350b Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Are you doing 1709 as an upgrade? I’ve seen it durig upgrades but my b+c image seems fine. Easiest fix run a repair on office 2016. 1
