speckledegg Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Morning! Has anyone come across this error before when trying to upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra? So far I have tried running first aid on the internal drive which found no errors, removed our external time machine backup drive and deleted and redownloded the upgrade from the App Store. This is to update our Mac Mini that we currently use for iPad management. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Bagpuss66 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) We had this problem with one of our iMacs, in the end we had to add an external cd drive and boot up the install disc while holding the C key while it booted the disc. Then you select recovery and re-install the backup. We found that we couldn't restore the backup image but it only occurred on one out of 17 macs! Edited October 31, 2017 by Bagpuss66
