speckledegg Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Hi all, A teacher has asked me if I can install Smart Notebook on her MacBook. We are all Windows based here and currently use the last free version of Smart Notebook 11.4 on PC's. I was just wondering if anyone has a copy of the last free version for Mac that I could have please? I'm presuming our licence would be transferable to this? Would be eternally greatful! Many thanks
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Hi there @anselmtech, do you have an active subscription? An active Site License subscription would give you permission to install for home and work and is cross compatible you see. Any advice needed please get in touch with us here at VeryPC and ask for Ross Robinson, our Smart Solutions expert, as a teacher license would only be circa £33 + VAT Ta, Col
speckledegg Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 Hi Colin, Thanks for the info! We don't have an active site subscription currently as we are still using Smart boards across the school that support the free version of Smart - so we'll probably stick with them until they die. In regards to the teacher licence, that seems reasonable! So may look into this if all else fails :-)
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 My pleasure, we've seen it all when it comes to what works best on what, and are now well up the foodchain with most AV vendors. This means we can help when needed :-)
Sibrows Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 You will discover that Smart Notebook 11.4 doesn't support more recent versions of MacOS a quick Google suggests people having issues with 10.10 "Yosemite" the latest version is 10.13 "High Sierra".
