Our sims "server" is a win7 PC chugging away, and I'd like to do an inplace upgrade to windows 10. For a test, I've already done a P2V of the SIMS server, upgraded it to windows 10 and a simple test, all looks good.

When I do it for real I'll of course have an image/ backup of the machine in a good state.

I just want to know if there are any other 'gotchas' I am likely to miss?

Not sure if the reason I got no responses are because it's was an absoloutley crazy thing to do, or so banal it wasn't worth commenting, but I hate searching for someone online, finding someone with the same question but no update, so here's my attempt to get some virtual karma

I should probably also mention that at the same time we also moved to new hardware, but kept the same drive layout and ghosted the win7 image across. It went perfectly smoothly, no trouble at all and in fact one of the teachers had done their morning rollcall before I had time to get the manager to test it.
