Morning all

 

Decided to revisit Koha as an alternative for our out of maintenance library system now owned by Capita...

 

Just wondering if anyone has an administrative howto document I can blag or knows a good one online? I've done the install on an Ubuntu VM and that all works, it's the setup of the library and books, the eleventy billion customisation options, how to link it to Amazon for the covers etc

 

Just hoping to save time reinventing the wheel (and more than a bit lazy..)

Ooh I'll keep an eye on this thread. Am also wondering about Koha as very tired of MLS support and salesman but gather all the other school library systems are just as bad as each other. Just wasn't sure if Koha would be friendly enough interface for secondary school students.

This is something on my radar at the moment. The accelerated reader support will be a bit of a road block.

 

The Interface isn't great either

 

A good thing with MLS is when you check in a book you scan another and it will check out that book against the person who loaned the checked in book. Saves so much time.
