Hi,

I am just playing with setting up an RDS server. All is setup and working fine. I have published a few apps such as notepad etc as a test and they all load fine.

Is there a way to make a shortcut on the desktop to the programs rather than logging in via the RDWeb page.

Thanks

Yep, easiest way is to go via RdWeb and use a browser like firefox, when you click the link it'll ask you to download the file as it doesn't recognise it as RDP. Save it locally and it'll work just by clicking it :)

Not on the Desktop but in windows you can also use the 'RemoteApp and Desktop Connections'. You can put in your Server URL (Or e-mail address if you configure some DNS settings) and it will put shortcuts into the start menu for all remote applications / desktops that the user has access too. This will also update the shortcuts periodically so if you add / remove apps they will be made available / unavailable
