Groupcall Xporter v4 or v5

On the xporter site it lists v4 & v5 downloads and I am not sure what the difference is. I contacted my LA and they said if v5 does not work then use v4, as this is installing on a server I am a little worried about testing which version works.

 

To add to the confusion the v5 installer will not download from the Groupcall website and I got the following as an email back,

 

Thank you for contacting Groupcall. We cannot identify school as one using Groupcall products. Xporter link on our website could be expired because we don't provide installers for our partners.

Because Xporter is a shell you should contact our partner to receive Xporter installer with jobs required.

 

Obviously we are a school that does use Xporter and I am totally confused by the rest of the response.

 

Anyway does anyone know which version I should install on my 2012r2 server?

Basically they're saying that as the jobs that actually run via XPorter are provided by the company that make the product (e.g. SMHW gives you the SMHW job etc) that they should link the original installer you need

 

What are you installing xporter for? In regards to what software as they should be providing the links etc

Our LA use exporter to export data from sims and then send it back to a computer at the LA.

Then they should be providing you with a Job installer, and XPorter installer. No need to download things separately as it won't work without their job installer anyway
