G Suite - teachers managing pupil passwords

Does anyone allow teachers to control pupil G Suite account passwords? If yes, how do you restrict it to just that?

You could do it like the above. Or you could tie them into AD so they have the same passwords. Then use your usual AD password reset processes.

I use to give teacher password change rights on the Student OU - but for the past few years we have used Hapara Teacher Dashboard and that allows them to change the password (and many many other things).

The dashboard tool looks pretty cool. Certainly our senior school would be interested as strong Classroom users, but perhaps rolling it out to primary, where they are volunteering to take on password resets, might help move them to Classroom too. What costs are associated with the app?

Its around £4 a student per year - but you can get multi-year discounts. We use it alongside Classroom - the Highlights part is very good for managing student Chromebooks as we are 1:1.
