[android tablet] Anyone know why these 2 teachers Android tablet will not update

Hi, Back in 2014 we purchased all the teachers a Samsung Galaxy Note to use. Recently the school purchased a profile app and it has installed fine onto all but 2 of the tablets. The 2 tablets it does not install on Google Play says the app is not compatible with the device. Looking at the Android versions it turns out that the tablets it works on are on 4.4 and the ones it errors on are on 4.3.

 

For whatever reason when I click on check for updates nothing happens and I have no idea what to do.

 

Most of the teachers have been using them and keeping them updated as and when updates come out, but I think these 2 tablets have just been gathering dust. Do Samsung simply stop sending out updates?

 

Any advice as the teachers really need to start using this app asap.

That is an old version. May be worth trying to update them with kies

I used a galaxy note 10.1 until about a year ago. The Android updates stopped automatically applying years before and I never did manage to persuade it otherwise.

 

I gave it up because it became so slow that it wasn't worth holding onto any longer and now have a Pixel C.

 

I wheeled out the old Galaxy Note about a month ago and, even after a system reset, found it so slow that I wondered why I had put up with it so long.
