FN-GM Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Hello, I booked some tickets for some relatives. They went out last week and are not due back until the end of October so the CCA won't bring them home. I paid by Credit Card so can get the money back. I have just booked some new tickets with Jet2 back into a different airport and they cost nearly the same on the original. Has anyone else been impacted from Monarch going under?
mikkydoos Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Someone working here has just lost a familys worth of flights - booked on a debit card...... ouch!
JonThompson Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Someone working here has just lost a familys worth of flights - booked on a debit card...... ouch! They may still be able to get the money back via Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 according to Martin Lewis (Money Saving Expert) http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/monarch-airlines-collapse-latest-info-and-your-rights#flight 1
tj2419 Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Yes, luckily booked on a credit card so will hopefully get my money back but had to cancel the rest of the holiday as there are no other flights to where we were going at suitable times. Was our first holiday with our toddler so hopefully will rebook somewhere else!
