hardtailstar Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi All, I am currently reading a Microsoft book to take the exam in February however recently ive had no motivation to sit down and read it. How would you motivate yourself? Ive tried blocking out an hour in my calendar but I just tend to do something else. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
googlemad Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Maybe take some mock exams? Then at least you have an idea of what you need to focus on I liked doing the simulation stuff too as it helped me understand how everything linked together rather than a textbook but back in the day it was quite annoying as you got the books but the pre configured labs were only set up in class and not provided to take away to install at home! (Sure it has all changed now of course!) I know how you feel though, I still have no idea how I managed to scrape a pass on my Network+! Definitely more a server expert than a network expert! 1
ricki Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 The mock exams will show you how much you dont know Richard 1
MatZeRO Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 What exam are you taking? What made you interested in taking it in the first place?
rich_tech Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) It can be hard to get motivated for them, especially if your doing the bulk of it outside of work like I was in my own time with my CCNA Depends how you learn too, I pick stuff up better from watching videos/lectures/apps and labs instead of reading the book. That being said, you need to read the books as well and make a conscious effort to do it as they tend to fill in the blanks outside of the topics of other study materials. Booking the exam is good motivation in itself as well, which I have seen you have done already there. Edited October 7, 2017 by rich_tech 1
