[sims] how to extract exam results input via CTF files

Dear All

I am trying to extract the exam results entered via CTF files in Sims, the students involve are new sixth form students who join our school in September. They have had their GCSE in their previous school and their results are imported into the Sims via CTF files. I can see their results individually using the examinations link but I can't export their results in exams module, this only exports the internal student results not for the external students who joined in September. Wondering if anyone know of a way to do this. Thanks in advance.

Making a mark sheet is difficult as I don't exactly know what aspect holds the results, there are 190 student's results I need to extract - their results can be stored across so many different aspects. I don't know how to do this is report designer, do you think it is possible in report designer?

CTF is XML so look into xml to csv or similar

but then I have to go through individual CTF files, this will be time consuming. Also these files are already processed in Sims by the admin staff and I can see the results individually, there must be some way to extract this data in Sims like I do with the internal students.

Have you tried a report with student focus, add everything under "exams" and put a filter on that subreport with date after June 2016 (or some relevant cutoff).

 

you'll also want a report level filter for year group.

 

I just knocked one up and it pulls all the results that we've got.

...since when did CTF files carry exam results? Is this an official version I'm unaware of or just some custom containers that Capita have included?

they do now, I think this summer is the first time I've seen them.
