Good morning all,

We currently have AD connect working to sync out students with the O365 tenant as follow:-

* {user}@internaldomain.local is created as {user}@externaldomain.onmicrosoft.com

I've now added our correct external domains to the tenant and would like to sync both staff and students (both in same AD tree) as follows:-

Staff users - {user}@internaldomain.local is created as {user}@staffemaildomain.co.uk

Students - {user}@internaldomain.local is created as {user}@studentemaildomain.org.uk

I can see how to change the default domain in the O365 tenant, however I can't see any way to set this using the AD connect utility based on the source OU

Can anyone help advise on this headache, or do I need to resort to manually changing the login domains after sync, and taking paracetamol?

Cheers

Make sure that both external domains are listed as additional DNS Suffix in AD.

Then change the users AD account to reflex the correct the domain name on the Account tab.

Also make sure the email address field of users is set and correct

As above, the DNS Suffix (per user in AD), needs to be set. You can easily do this in bulk in AD.

Secondly the ProxyAddresses attribute needs to be populated. If you search Edugeek, I created a script that will automate this for you.

Thanks to both of you - that worked a treat. I'm now working through the admin console updating the existing accounts, however new accounts are being pulled in correctly now.
