Folder Access

Hi All,

 

I have a user that is able to access another users files. When she does a search in her desktops C drive, the result from the search is picking up other users files. This is only happening on this desktop. I have tried searching the same thing on my laptop but nothing comes up. Any reason why this is happening??? The user files that she is picking up, I have check folder security and it seems fine. I have removed folder inheritance for now, this didn’t work. We are in a domain environment, both users are using windows 8.1.

 

Any help will be most appreciated.

I thing she might be local admin. Would that allow her to access other peoples files?

Easy check for local admin -

open cmd window and type

net localgroup administrators

 

if she, or a group she is in, appear in the list, then you'll need to log in to that PC as domain admin and tpye

net localgroup administrators "domain name\user name" /delete
