Steve21 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Good Afternoon All, Bit of an odd one here, We're recently having problems with photography students who need to work with RAW files and as we have an older version of photoshop there's a limit on which version of RAW is supported (Think it's late 6, which most new cameras don't use). There's loads of convertors online to convert higher RAW versions into JPEG but can't find anything that'd allow them to convert it into another RAW file at a lower value (e.g. 7->6) so that they can actually use the processes on the RAW files. Anyone come across this and got any magical ideas or software that might allow it? (And no upgrading photoshop isn't an option sadfully ) Thanks, Steve
Marci Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Use the free Adobe DNG Converter... see The best Camera Raw Tutorial Download link: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html 1
Steve21 Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 Oh that looks pretty cool. Was reading about updating the ACRs but still had the version issue as it didn't go high enough. Will have to try the convertor with some of them Thanks!
