Two of our schools (both of which share a single internet connection, and therefore share the same proxy/UTM) are having a weird issue with Outlook 2010 and Office 365. Basically, Outlook spends most of its time trying to connect when its open, manages to connect, downloads a big chunk of new email, and then loses connection again.

I've checked the settings between the UTM we have at the school I'm based at and these other 2 schools and they are set up identically. Office 2010 is fully up to date too, so it has the required update needed for Office 365.

The weird thing is, this was all working fine before summer! I'm scratching my head a bit at this one!

I've had issues with autodiscover recently with Outlook 2016. LA are helping me with it. Working on some machines but not others... very frustrating.

We have had similar issues since the beginning of September - not all staff appear to be affected. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/188197-outlook-office-365-web-email-syncing-issues.html - I started this thread a few days ago but we are no closer to getting a fix, these two threads appear to be related - I wonder if this is something at Microsoft's side.

We use a Sophos UTM - but on checking logs etc, nothing appears to be blocked and nothing has been changed - bizarre.

yeah, LA have been checking the firewall. On the filter everything seems to be going through fine.

MS have been having major issues with emails this week, but for me I've been trying to connect them up for about 2 weeks now. The thing is, I can get accounts to attach on my machine, just not on the machine in the office.

Not sure how far behind you are with updates delays etc but there was a patch that borked a lot over Summer: KB3203467 and KB4022719 it's linked to attachments but also affected the indexing services etc, which may explain some bits.

Might be worth a check
