Systems Engineer – South East London * URGENT *

Up to £40,000 dependent on experience (Permanent, Full Time)

Our client, a prestigious independent school in South East London are looking to recruit an experienced Systems Engineer to join their established team, where you will be responsible for implementing the systems architecture set out by the Director of IT and managing the System Centre server farm.

 

You will also be responsible for providing expert advice to the helpdesk staff, supporting the team to resolve technical problems and act as a point of escalation for more challenging issues.

 

Responsibilities :

 

· Providing expert advice on system issues.

· Implementing desired systems architecture.

· Introducing and integrating new technologies into data centre environments.

· Management of Active Directory, Public Key Infrastructure and core service (DNS, DHCP, NTP etc.)

· Analysing system logs, identifying issues, performing routine audits of systems and hardware.

· Monitoring all critical systems.

· Administrator for system centre databases (SQL 2012, 2014, Warehousing & Reporting services) - Maintaining system centre databases to ensure efficiency and performance.

 

 

Essential :

 

· Substantial experience of working in a 2^nd / 3rd line support role.

· Practical experience of implementing and deploying Group Policies within Windows 10.

· Experience of large-scale deployment of operating systems.

· MCSA Server (2012 or 2016) or equivalent skills and experience.

· Previously worked within the Education Sector.

· Experience of using/administering an Office 365 environment (is also desirable).
