MLS - Junior Librarian.net 6 digit user codes not recognised when scanned....?

Hi All,

 

We have an issue with our Junior Librarian software in that all new users have been issued with a 6 digit user code.

 

Micro Librarian comes back with a message that this is not a valid user code....

 

All of the old users have a 4 digit user code which is recognised when scanned.

 

Does anybody know why this has happened and a have a fix?

 

As many of you, we are having an awful time trying to reach out to their support.

My name is Graeme and I work on the Second Line Team here within Micro Librarian Systems.

 

I'm sorry to hear about the issues occurring within the Junior Librarian library system, taking a look through the above it's more than likely a barcode mask hasn't been configured for 6-Digit borrowers. You can configure a new barcode mask from within Management under the Barcodes option (Management > Settings > Barcodes). You will want to create a barcode mask with the following criteria:

 

Description: MLS (6 Digit)

Type: Borrower (this will be dependent on if the school uses six digit barcodes for resources).

Mask: ######
