quiet_andy Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi all, We were having an issue with one of our servers today and once the server had been rebooted to see if this could fix the issue, the server would not reboot. The error we are getting is the one above, it gets to "F/W Initializing Devices 50%, Adapter at Baseport is not responding, No Adapter" I have removed the adapter and cleaned the contacts, as I found in another forum. Do you think this is the raid controller which has failed and if so should I just buy PERC H700 Integrated RAID Controller, 512MB NV Cache, Cable to be ordered separately : Parts & Upgrades | Dell UK and install it? Thanks ps due to a senior management/budget decision the server is out of warranty
Mistert89 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 If you have to cheaply buy parts, try Rock Hall Ltd. they are a deconstructor I'd really recommend. Found them on eBay but they are a proper vat registered company .
Mistert89 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Forgot to say, same - no warranty on 2011 servers, but used these as suppliers, including upgrading ram at sensible prices.
