Promethean ActivPanel issue with main display

Hi All

 

We are having numerous issues with our Windows 7 x64 computers and the new Promethean ActivPanel.

 

We are finding that the main display keeps shifting to the Promethean panel and not the PC Monitor. We have tried swapping the cables round and setting the main display as the monitor and this works for awhile but when the machine is changed to extend or sometimes when it is turned on it shifts back randomly. Also, sometimes the screen adjust on the promethean is about a foot shifted to the right so the pen is also off and the screen is not displayed correctly.

 

We have updated drivers, tried different orders of booting the screen and the machine but eventually one of these issues will always appear. This is on different machines around the academy and is happening about ten times a day!

 

Any Ideas?

Hi,

contact promethean and they will be able to give you a firmware update.

you are probably on version 0.0.0.5 and the upgrade will fix the issue of panel trying to take over and constantly putting it on to extended desktop.

 

Took me a while to convince Promethean that the fault was with the panel, but once they were able to duplicate the issue they were quick with a fix.

Our version says AP5-FHD_r1.0.0028, what version is yours after the firmware update?

ah sorry ours are the 4K screens.

but it does sound like the same issue we had and a firmware update fixed it all.
