[O365] Disable users from creating groups / sites on OneDrive

Does anyone know how to stop users from been able to create Sites / Groups on OneDrive?

 

At the moment, users can click on the + from the left menu of OneDrive and create a Site (team site or Communication Site).

 

One article suggests doing it through AzureAD however when i look on there the Groups options is all greyed out, i guess this is for Premium use.

 

Another article guides users through a series of powershell commands however there is a command which doesn't work so it fails at the first hurdle. Apologies, the above article does work, for some reason the Import AzureADPreview module wasn't working correctly. tried it on another machine and all the commands work as expected.
