ReadTheNetwork Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hey all, I've had a look around but can't find what I'm looking for. What's the easiest way to auto configure OneDrive for students in a classroom? Is there a SSO approach where they wouldn't need to enter their email/password/Library URL? Thanks,
Blue_Cookeh Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 You need to deploy the relevant group policies and the edits to make them point to your OneDrive library URLs, you can then use SSO. Users will still get the first run wizard when they try to open OneDrive, but it should be mostly automated anyway. https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Deploy-the-new-OneDrive-sync-client-in-an-enterprise-environment-3f3a511c-30c6-404a-98bf-76f95c519668?ui=en-US&rs=en-GB&ad=GB 1
apearce Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Hey - this can be done quiet easily but what authenitcation method do you have implemented? Easier if you have pass thru or ADFS. :-) 1
snagrat Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Which Group Policy specifies the Library URLs you want to sync? I can't see them anywhere
ReadTheNetwork Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 Sorry was exhausted after a long day yesterday. So the web version logs in fine (seamlessly) using Pass Through. But Office 2016 programs are still requiring sign in with username/password. And when i try to run OneDrive this requires the online sharepoint URL. Then a username/password. Am I missing something obvious?
ReadTheNetwork Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 OK never mind, no idea what happened. It seems to be all working this morning . All is well here, must have needed a sleep. Thanks
