GPO for student and Teacher PCs

Hello all,

 

I have the task of rebuilding the domain I have inherited at the school im now in. The amount of mess AD and Group policy is in I think this is the best cousrse of action as we are having new servers in as well and is a good time to do it.

 

I was wondering if anyone had some best practises or resources for correctly configuring the necessary GPOs to restrict the teacher and student machines. Or am I best just to go through and read everything and decide if I need it.

 

Any help or advise would be great. Ive setup new domains before but for much smaller sites and never at a school.

hi there down load this software and run it on a teacher pc and student pc and run it on a main office pc and see what on there software is call Belarc Advisor

 

the gpo I would copy them over from the old network and work from there if you need any help PM us

 

just make sure you have backup everything when you do this on the network
