mikemcsharry Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I've taken over an installation which is server 2012r2 - decent netowk - all Gigabit cat 5e/cat 6 / fibre cabling. One of problems I'm spotting is that there are 2 computer policies that are taking a while to load on to machines (even a completely fresh win7 installation, i5, 8GB,SSD). Looking through the policies - i can see a lot of policies have 'allow processing across a slow network connection' enabled. is there any consequence of disabling all these policies? Is there a way to do it all at one go?
QwertyMash Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 What do the policies do that you are wanting to disable?
mikemcsharry Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 It's not the policies themselves, but it seems that any policy set has this option.
QwertyMash Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Well that option does allow the policy to be applied if the connection is deemed slow. I would only remove that option for the policies that if not applied (due to a slow connection) it would not be an issue. Any mission critical settings I would leave this on.
