FWBD Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Does anybody know how to remove the 'Open file Location' option from the start menu when you right click on an application? I've tried restricting the C: Drive but that causes issues with some software not working so I'm hoping there is a registry setting somewhere I can change...
ifarmery Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I tried for ages to find an answer to this, the only solution I found was the Prevent access to drives from My Computer - Restrict C drive only this is under Windows Components -> File Explorer (possibly the setting you have set but had issues). This didn't remove the option but just displays an error when they do click on it. Ian
FWBD Posted July 4, 2017 Author Posted July 4, 2017 Yeah that's what I'd done but it blocked access to file explorer, this pc, my documents etc. It also stopped a few programs from working too... I've reverted it back for now but I'm hoping there is a simple reg setting that will just hide the option
